My Canine Journey
My love for dogs began back in the days of my early childhood. My first puppy was a stray Golden Retriever I found and brought home. Looking back now, my ‘stray’ could’ve been someone’s pet that got out, but I was young and convinced my parents to keep it. She was a beautiful girl, who eventually gave us a litter of puppies not long after we had her. The memory of staying up all night watching her give birth will stay with me forever.
As an adult, my passion for dogs only grew stronger. I’ve shared my life with an amazing variety of furry friends, each with their own unique personality and quirks. These experiences have taught me invaluable lessons in patience, empathy, and the unbreakable bond between humans and their pets.
Stepping into Fostering
Recently, I took a leap into the world of pet fostering, partnering with a local rescue organization to provide temporary homes for puppies and dogs in need. Fostering has been an incredibly rewarding and eye-opening experience. It’s a whirlwind of emotions, from the joy of seeing a scared puppy find its confidence, to the heartache of letting them go to their forever homes.
Through fostering, I’ve learned that the journey is just as important as the destination. Each dog that comes into my home teaches me something new, and I am grateful for the chance to make a positive impact on their lives.
